About Jennifer

Jennifer MacPherson is a partner at Stewart McKelvey's Charlottetown office and a highly experienced litigator specializing in the defence of professional liability, commercial, and complex liability claims. She acts as defence counsel to physicians, surgeons, and other professionals, as well as private enterprises, public bodies, and insurers, and has appeared at all levels of court in Prince Edward Island. Beyond litigation, MacPherson advises regulated health professionals, universities, and port and airport authorities on governance and risk management strategies. She served as president of the Law Society of Prince Edward Island from 2017 to 2018 and has held leadership roles with the Canadian Bar Association, including on its national board of directors. MacPherson holds an LL.B. from the University of New Brunswick (2001) and a B.Sc. from the University of Prince Edward Island (1998), and was called to the Prince Edward Island bar in 2002.
