Anita Nathan's practice covers both trial and appellate work, and she appears before the Ontario Court of Justice, the Superior Court of Justice, and the Court of Appeal. She has defended clients facing charges ranging from minor offences to serious matters such as robbery, murder, and drug and firearm possession. Nathan earned an Honours Bachelor of Science from the University of Toronto before completing her legal education at the University of Ottawa, where she was involved with Pro Bono Students Canada, the Criminal Law Student Association, and the Women's Legal Mentorship Program. She has also volunteered with organizations including Human Rights Watch, AIDS New Brunswick, and the Barbra Schlifer Clinic, and serves on Nellie's Social Justice and Accessibility Committee as well as the board of Maggie's Sex Worker Action Project.
