Wills, Estates & TrustsAndrew Sapiano is a partner in Stewart McKelvey's Charlottetown office. He advises business owners and executives on mergers and acquisitions, equity and debt financings, corporate structuring, succession planning, regulatory compliance and shareholder disputes, and also provides governance and transactional advice to not-for-profit organizations, charities, government agencies, colleges and universities. His commercial real estate work spans acquisitions, divestitures, development projects, commercial leasing and financing, and he advises on wills and estates planning where corporate and personal interests intersect. His representative work includes acting for a publicly traded company on the capital lease of a commercial property development exceeding $200 million, and serving as local counsel to U.S. and Canadian national law firms on major mergers and acquisitions. Sapiano earned his Juris Doctor from Queen's Law School in 2016 and a BSc in economics from Dalhousie University in 2009. He was called to the Ontario bar in 2017 and the Prince Edward Island bar in 2022.
