About Andrew

Andrew Finkelstein is a partner with a broad civil litigation and dispute resolution practice, with particular emphasis on corporate and commercial disputes, employment matters, estates litigation, shareholder disagreements and oppression claims. He spent ten years at Torys LLP in Toronto before joining Chernos Flaherty Svonkin in 2014. He has served as lead counsel before all levels of court in Ontario, before various administrative tribunals, and in commercial arbitrations. Andrew earned his J.D. from Dalhousie Law School in 2004 and an honours B.A. from McGill University in 2000, and was called to the Ontario bar in 2005. He has also taught a course on protecting intangible business interests in Osgoode Hall's LLM program and speaks frequently on legal topics.
