About Julia

Julia is building a varied litigation practice at Chernos Flaherty Svonkin LLP, where she previously worked as a summer and articling student before rejoining as an associate. She was called to the Ontario bar in 2025 and holds a JD from the University of Ottawa, where she also earned an Honours BSocSc in Conflict Studies and Human Rights, graduating magna cum laude. During school she served as a teaching assistant, interned with the National Self-Represented Litigants Project, and volunteered with the Women's Legal Education and Action Fund. Before pursuing law, she worked at the Senate of Canada.
