About Murray

Murray Gold maintains a nationally recognized pension and employee benefits practice at Koskie Minsky, advising pension funds, trade unions, and employee groups on governance and restructuring, with particular emphasis on jointly sponsored and governed plans. He established the first employee life and health trust in Canada, for 40,000 retired CAW members, and has advised single and multi-union groups across several provinces on pension sponsorship and administration. He was appointed by Ontario's Finance Minister as one of four expert advisors to the Ontario Expert Commission on Pensions and continues to consult on pension regulatory reform. He advises the Ontario Teachers' Federation on its joint sponsorship of the Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan and union coalitions on several other major Canadian pension plans.
