About Andrea
Andrea Lim articled with Dutton Brock and joined as an associate in 2009 after her call to the Ontario bar, becoming a partner in 2021. Her practice is centred on insurance defence, with particular emphasis on first-party accident benefits claims. She has co-authored the Annotated Statutory Accident Benefits Schedule, an annual LexisNexis publication, since 2016, and has published articles on accident benefits issues. Andrea sits on the board of the Canadian Defence Lawyers Association, where she chairs the Diversity and Inclusion Committee, and is active with the Medico-Legal Society and the Federation of Asian Canadian Lawyers. She was recognized with the Richard B. Lindsay, Q.C. Exceptional Young Lawyer Award in 2016 and the inaugural Dr. Grant Farrow Award in 2021. She completed her B.A. at the University of Toronto, an M.A. in History at Queen's University, and her LL.B. at the University of Windsor in 2008.
