About Chad
Chad M. Leddy is a partner with a broad civil defence practice, handling product liability, construction liability, occupiers' liability, and motor vehicle claims. He also advises insurers on coverage opinions and defends first-party claims. Chad has secured the dismissal of claims in more than 75 cases without any payment to plaintiffs, whether through motions, trial, or by convincing plaintiffs to abandon meritless suits, and has also negotiated settlements in over 250 matters. He has appeared at every level of court in Ontario, from Small Claims Court up to the Court of Appeal. Chad chairs the firm's professional education committee and sits on its articling committee, mentoring junior lawyers. He studied law at the University of Toronto, where he was part of a championship team at the Jessup International Moot, and earned a B.Comm with first-class honours from Queen's University before law school. He was called to the Ontario bar in 2008.
