About Andrea
Andrea Acri, a partner, practises family law with experience at every level of court in Ontario. She works through negotiation, mediation, arbitration and litigation on matters involving property division, child and spousal support and parenting, and takes a results-oriented approach while remaining mindful of how emotionally difficult these disputes can be for clients. When negotiation or mediation can achieve a fair settlement she pursues that route, but she advocates firmly in court when a case requires it. Beyond her litigation work, she prepares separation agreements and marriage contracts and handles professional negligence matters as preferred counsel for the Lawyers' Professional Indemnity Company. Before joining the firm, she practised family law at a Bay Street firm, handling both high-conflict parenting disputes and complex financial matters. She holds an M.A. from Queen's University and a J.D. from the University of Ottawa (2013), and was called to the Ontario bar in 2014.
