About Alyssa

Alyssa Armstrong is an associate in WeirFoulds' Municipal, Development and Land Use Planning group, called to the Ontario bar in 2017 after earning her J.D. from Osgoode Hall Law School. She also holds an MSc from the London School of Economics and a BA (Honours) from McGill University, and she practices in English and French. Her work centers on expropriation, municipal law, and administrative law, advising municipalities and public authorities while also representing landowners across Ontario in expropriation and real property disputes before the Ontario Superior Court and the Ontario Land Tribunal. She also represents professional regulatory bodies on discipline and capacity matters. Before joining WeirFoulds, Alyssa was counsel at the Crown Law Office Civil, the Ontario government's central civil litigation branch, where she handled expropriation, administrative law, and judicial review files on behalf of government ministries. Earlier in her career, before becoming a lawyer, she advised public office holders on policy issues spanning health, education, infrastructure, and transportation.
