About Alexandre
Alexandre Maltas was called to the Ontario bar in 2005, the British Columbia bar in 2007, and the Alberta bar in 2016, and joined the firm in 2007. He has litigated before courts in British Columbia, Alberta, and Ontario, the Federal Court, the Tax Court of Canada, and various administrative tribunals. His practice emphasizes warranty, construction, commercial, and professional liability matters, and he leads the firm's Professional Liability Practice Group, defending design professionals in disciplinary proceedings. He also handles construction insurance, surety matters, insurance defence, employment litigation, and sports law, including anti-doping hearings before the Canadian Centre for Ethics in Sport. He is a member of the Canadian Bar Association's Construction Law and Civil Litigation sections, the Advocates' Society, the Diversity Law Institute, and the Trial Law Institute, and is a Fellow of the Construction Lawyers Society of America.
