About Spencer

Spencer Malthouse maintains a general litigation practice with a focus on construction disputes, providing strategic advice during construction projects and litigating delay, defect, and payment disputes through mediation, arbitration, and trial, including new home warranty matters. His practice also includes challenging denials of insurance coverage, administrative law work as prosecution counsel for professional regulatory bodies, product liability claims, and corporate/commercial disputes including shareholder remedies. Spencer was called to the Ontario bar in 2020 and the BC bar in 2022, having articled and practised at a Toronto civil litigation boutique before moving to BC in 2022. Before practising law, he worked in the financial services industry.
