About Alex

Alex has been at Carroll Heyd Chown since 2014, first as a summer student and later called to the bar in 2020. Raised in Sudbury and now settled in Barrie for nearly two decades, he studied at Wilfrid Laurier University before attending law school at Western, where he took part in sports arbitration moots and chaired a student committee that organizes charity concerts. His litigation practice spans several areas, with particular emphasis on employment law, construction law, and corporate litigation, and he has represented clients before the Ontario Court of Appeal, the Superior Court of Justice, and Small Claims Court. Alex is fluent in both French and English.
