Personal InjuryRobert M. Ben graduated from the University of Toronto's Faculty of Law in 2002 and was called to the bar in 2003, after earlier completing degrees in social work at York University and arts and science at the University of Toronto. His practice is devoted to advocating for children and adults who have suffered brain, spinal cord, or serious orthopaedic injuries, as well as families pursuing wrongful death claims. Early in his career he defended large insurance companies against personal injury claims, and he now draws on that experience, along with his social work background, to achieve results for his clients. Robert has appeared as counsel in jury and non-jury trials before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice and has argued appeals before the Court of Appeal for Ontario and the Supreme Court of Canada. He belongs to the Advocates' Society, the Canadian Bar Association, the Toronto Lawyers Association, and the Canadian Civil Liberties Association.
