About David

David Thompson is a partner who joined the firm in 2009 after practising at a Toronto litigation boutique, and entered the partnership in 2018. He handles complex litigation files, including multi-party construction, personal injury, and commercial and real estate disputes, with significant courtroom and arbitration experience. David serves on the Advocates' Society's Mid-Career Advocates' Standing Committee, having co-chaired a national conference for mid-career litigators, and is a director with the Rotary Club of Barrie. He also provides pro bono education law services through Pro Bono Law Ontario. David holds a BA in International Relations and a JD, both from the University of Toronto, and completed an exchange program at Humboldt University of Berlin. He was called to the Ontario bar in 2008 and is fluent in German and Swedish.
