About Alex

Alex Plawiuk is an associate who came to Thomas Gold Pettingill in 2025 after his articles and a stint at a Toronto litigation boutique, where he worked on civil litigation and complicated insurance files. He picked up his Juris Doctor from Queen's University in 2023, and while there he founded and led the Queen's Law Chess Club, mentored students through the Pre-Law Society, and sat on the executive of the Law Private Equity Club. He also holds an Honours BA in Political Science from Western University. Called to the Ontario Bar in 2024, he now focuses on insurance litigation, including accident benefits and SABS disputes, priority and loss transfer matters, motor vehicle claims, and occupiers' liability.
