About Alex
Alex MacNab focuses on settlement and the best interests of the family, working to help clients avoid prolonged court battles through lawyer-assisted negotiation, mediation, or arbitration, with litigation as a last resort. He also has a particular interest in reproductive law, assisting families with donor egg and sperm arrangements, traditional and gestational surrogacy, and adoption. MacNab began his career in 2004 with the Legal Aid Commission in Labrador, gaining experience in criminal defence and family law before moving to Alberta in 2006 to work with Alberta Justice Civil Litigation, Family Law. He holds a law degree from Dalhousie University and a B.A. from Memorial University of Newfoundland and Labrador. He volunteered as a board member with the Children's Legal and Education Resource Centre from 2004 to 2013 and currently volunteers with the Generations of Hope Fertility Assistance Fund. He is a member of the executive of the Canadian Bar Association's Family Law Section.
