About Obehi

Obehi Ekatah is the founder of O'Beth Law and is dual-licensed as a lawyer in Nigeria and Canada. She was first licensed to practice in Nigeria in 2008 as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria, working in private practice and government roles before relocating to Canada in 2018. After earning a legal assistant diploma from Robertson College in 2021 and completing National Committee on Accreditation requirements for foreign-trained lawyers, she articled with a boutique Calgary firm and was called to the Alberta Bar in 2024. Ekatah's practice covers criminal defence, immigration law, and residential real estate law. She also holds a Certified International Privacy Professional of Canada (CIPP/C) designation and volunteers with the Calgary Black Chambers Advocacy Committee, the Canadian Bar Association, and the Legal Aid of Alberta Roster Program.
