About Angela

Angela Jiao is an associate at Torys whose corporate and commercial law practice centers on complex technology transactions. Angela regularly advises on deals involving technology development, outsourcing, and procurement, along with licensing and transferring hardware, software, and various other intellectual property. The work involves identifying the risks of acquiring and implementing new technology and finding ways to reduce those risks so that projects succeed. Before joining Torys, Angela worked as an associate lawyer at a private practice firm and, before that, in-house at a legal technology start-up.
