About Doug
Doug Moe, K.C. has practiced family law for over 37 years, with a focus on mediation and arbitration of family law disputes, often serving as a neutral in complex property and parenting matters. He also assists a smaller group of clients through negotiation, collaborative law, and litigation when a resolution can't be reached another way. Moe was designated Queen's Counsel in 2005, later redesignated King's Counsel, and received the Law Society of Alberta and Canadian Bar Association's Distinguished Service Award in 2016. He has twice received the AFMS John Haynes Award for his contributions to family mediation in Alberta, in 2010 and again in 2018. He is recognized in Best Lawyers for family law and family law mediation and in Doyle's Guide as a leading family law lawyer. Moe has taught family law at the University of Calgary as a guest instructor, served as a Family Law Instructor for the Bar Admission Course, and sits on the steering committee of the Alberta Family Lawyers Association. He was called to the Alberta bar in 1986.
