About Chelsea
Chelsea Batten has practiced family law since being called to the Alberta bar in 2004, handling disputes over parenting, support, and property division as well as prenuptial and cohabitation contracts. Before joining Moe Hannah LLP she was a partner at another Calgary firm, where exposure to other areas of law deepened her understanding of dispute resolution and litigation. Batten works to resolve her clients' disputes in a way that minimizes conflict between the parties, while remaining ready to advocate for them in court when litigation is the better option. She has appeared before the Provincial Court of Alberta and the Court of King's Bench of Alberta. She holds a Bachelor of Arts with Distinction (2000) and a Bachelor of Laws (2003), both from the University of Victoria.
