About Alaina
Alaina Woolfrey is a family law lawyer at Nelligan Law, advising on divorce and separation, child and spousal support, property division, and cohabitation and marriage contracts. Before her call to the Ontario Bar, she clerked as a judicial law clerk at the Federal Court under Justice Favel on immigration and Aboriginal law matters, and assisted Chief Justice Crampton on competition law and Justice Pollatta on immigration matters. During law school, Woolfrey worked with the Family Legal Information Centre at the Ottawa Courthouse and with Legal Aid, arranging legal information sessions for Indigenous communities, and was an Indigenous student intern with the Debwewin Summer program through the Ministry of the Attorney General and the University of Ottawa Faculty of Law. She served on the Indigenous Law Student Association and competed, then coached, in the Walsh Family Law Moot competition, where her team placed second twice.
