About Afnan

Afnan Arshad is an associate lawyer who practises exclusively in family law, handling high-conflict parenting disputes along with support, income determination, property division, and domestic contract matters such as cohabitation, marriage, and separation agreements. She regularly appears before the Ontario Court of Justice and the Superior Court of Justice. Arshad earned an Honours Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Teaching from the University of Toronto, completed her law degree at the University of Kent, and holds a Master of Laws from Osgoode Hall Law School. She was called to the Ontario bar in 2022 and has practised exclusively in family law since then, joining Stephen Durbin and Associates in 2024 after previously working at a boutique firm in Oakville. She speaks Hindi and Urdu and volunteers with the Muslim Advisory Council of Canada and Brave Beginnings.
