About Steve

Steve Duplain is the founding lawyer of Duplain Law, which he launched in June 2016 after being called to the Ontario Bar in June 2010. He earned his LL.B. from the University of Ottawa in 2009 and a B.A. Honours in Psychology, also from the University of Ottawa, graduating Magna Cum Laude in 2005. Before starting his own practice, he worked as an associate at Chénier & Notturno, gaining experience as a courtroom litigator in criminal defence and family law matters. His practice today focuses on family law, including with clients who have experienced abuse or addiction. He is a member of Collaborative Practice Ottawa and the Ontario Association of Collaborative Professionals, is certified in family mediation, and offers services in both English and French, including wills, powers of attorney, and notarial services.
