About Adam

Adam P. Newman has been a partner at Rusonik, O'Connor, Ross, Hershberg, Ghebrai & MacDonald LLP since 2021. He's an active member of the Criminal Lawyers Association and sits on the Legal Aid Ontario panel for criminal law. He has represented clients at bail hearings, forfeiture hearings, pre-trials, preliminary hearings, and trials in both the Ontario Court of Justice and the Superior Court of Justice, including a high-profile double homicide case in Toronto. He earned a Bachelor of Arts with honours in Philosophy from Queen's University and his law degree from the University of Western Ontario. Before becoming a partner, he was an associate at Derstine Penman Criminal Lawyers and Cedric Nahum Law, and he now defends clients against charges under the Criminal Code, the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act, and the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
