About Victoria
Victoria Kongats practices in Howie, Sacks & Henry's mass torts and class actions team, focusing on clients affected by medical devices, pharmaceuticals, consumer products, and aviation incidents. Before joining the firm she practiced in professional regulation and general liability, appearing before the Ontario Court of Justice, the Licence and Appeal Tribunal, the Landlord and Tenant Board, the Health Professions Appeal and Review Board, Small Claims Court, and the Superior Court of Justice. Victoria earned her J.D. and LL.M. from Dalhousie University's Schulich School of Law; her LL.M. thesis examined how federal medical device regulation could be strengthened under the Constitution. She previously worked as a research assistant with the Marine and Environmental Law Institute at Dalhousie, collaborating with organizations including the UN Environment Programme and the OECD, and was called to the Ontario bar in 2024.
