Cook Roberts LLP is a full service law firm based in downtown Victoria, British Columbia. Ron Cook and Art Roberts founded the firm in 1970, and it has carried their names ever since. In 2002, Cook Roberts merged with the Victoria firm Alexander Greene, adding lawyers and expertise in commercial and real estate work. More than 50 years later, the firm still practises from a single office on the 7th floor of 1175 Douglas Street, in the city's financial district, with 14 lawyers on staff.
The firm covers business and corporate law, employment, family law, wills, estates and trusts, tax, and civil and estate litigation, plus a construction law practice serving owners, contractors, and suppliers across Vancouver Island. Its real estate lawyers also work region wide, on everything from residential closings to strata development and municipal approvals. Cook Roberts acknowledges that its office sits on the traditional territory of the Lək̓ʷəŋən-speaking peoples, specifically the Songhees and Xʷsepsəm (Esquimalt) Nations.
