Stringer LLP is a Toronto specialty law firm that works only for employers. It was founded in 1966 by Edwin L. "Ted" Stringer and spent years operating as Stringer Brisbin Humphrey before the partners settled on its current name. That history makes it one of the longer running specialist labour and employment firms in Canada, and under Ted Stringer's leadership the firm became one of the first in the country to focus on the exclusive representation of employers.
The firm's lawyers work as a single team rather than assigning files by seniority, so a client dealing with one lawyer is meant to be able to draw on the whole group.
