Smitiuch Injury Law is a personal injury firm founded in 2001 by Michael Smitiuch, based in Toronto with additional offices in Brantford and Simcoe. Smitiuch was called to the Ontario bar in 1998, after a law degree from the University of Western Ontario in 1996 and an honours political science degree from McMaster University in 1994. The firm now includes six lawyers who work exclusively in personal injury litigation, taking on car, truck, and motorcycle accident claims along with slip and fall, product liability, wrongful death, and long term disability cases.

The firm works on a contingency basis, capping its fee at 30 percent of a settlement or award plus HST, so clients pay nothing unless they recover compensation. Its lawyers say insurance companies recognize the firm's willingness to go to trial rather than settle quickly, and its founder and several other lawyers belong to the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association. The firm states it has achieved the highest damages award for a wrongful death case in Ontario history and the only punitive damages award against a nursing home in Canadian history, and its lawyers have gone on to win seven figure jury verdicts in courts in Hamilton and Brantford as well.
