Indigenous LawZain Naqi routinely handles complex, high-profile matters involving corporate and commercial disputes, shareholder and employment litigation, regulatory prosecutions, negligence and environmental claims, and Aboriginal law. He has developed expertise across regulated industries including telecommunications, infrastructure, health care, financial services, food processing, and transportation, and maintains a public law practice helping municipalities, Indigenous groups, and corporations navigate administrative and constitutional issues. Zain has represented clients in more than 20 appeals and judicial reviews before the Divisional Court, the Court of Appeal for Ontario, and the Supreme Court of Canada, and he also appears before federal boards and agencies such as the Competition Tribunal and the CRTC. He is a member of the Civil Rules Review Working Group struck by the Attorney General of Ontario to overhaul the province's civil justice system, and he maintains an active pro bono practice for groups like the Canadian Civil Liberties Association. Zain was called to the Ontario bar in 2015 after clerking for Justice Michael Moldaver of the Supreme Court of Canada, and he holds a BCL and LLB from McGill University and a BA in Economics from Queen's University.
