About Barbara

Barbara MacLellan is a Barrister, Solicitor and Notary Public who has practiced law for nearly a quarter of a century in real estate, wills and estates and family law. A native of Inverness, Cape Breton, she is a graduate of St. Francis Xavier University and the University of Windsor's law school, and articled with Miller Pate Campbell in Lower Sackville before opening Fall River Law Office in 1996 with lawyer Patricia Miller. She has been trained in the Collaborative Law model since 2006 and no longer represents clients in court, focusing instead on collaborative family law and mediation. She also operates a second office, Ceilidh Law, in Lower Sackville, and is a past president of The Association of Collaborative Family Law Professionals of Nova Scotia.
