About Yolande
Yolande Dufresne is Counsel with a background in engineering and systems design. That scientific training supports her work advising companies in the medical device, drug, biotechnology, and food product sectors. Her practice touches on market access, reimbursement, supply chain issues, product licensing, labelling, and recalls, along with related privacy questions. Dufresne also handles intellectual property matters, working with patents, trademarks, copyrights, and industrial designs, including their acquisition and enforcement. She has extensive experience drafting and prosecuting patent and trademark applications, and she advises on their validity and infringement. She is also involved in emerging issues at the intersection of artificial intelligence and intellectual property. Dufresne is affiliated with MedTech Canada, the Food and Drug Law Institute, as well as the Licensing Executives Society.
