Family LawWilliam (Bill) J. Leslie served as senior litigation counsel at Stewart Esten in Barrie, focusing on litigation and family law. He is certified as a Specialist in Civil Litigation by the Law Society of Upper Canada and was appointed King's Counsel by the Attorney General in 1992. His litigation work covered personal injury, wrongful death, commercial disputes, and motor vehicle accidents, and he was frequently consulted on medical malpractice and health law matters. Bill graduated from Dalhousie Law School and the University of Guelph and was called to the bar in 1974. He has served as president of the Simcoe County Law Association and as a director of The Advocates' Society, and received a commemorative medal for the 125th anniversary of Confederation in recognition of his community contributions. He has since retired from the partnership but continues to provide counsel to the firm as a Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America.
