About David

David M. Winnitoy's practice centres on family law, including matrimonial litigation, arbitration, and mediation. He graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School in 1989 and was called to the bar in 1991, then practiced in Toronto before moving to Simcoe County to work at an established Orillia firm. He joined Stewart Esten LLP in Barrie in October 2014 and often serves as trial counsel, recently acting for the Children's Aid Society of the County of Simcoe. He has appeared before every level of court in Ontario as well as several provincial tribunals, and has been appointed a Dispute Resolution Officer by the Chief Justice of the Superior Court. He has long volunteered in Orillia, serving on the boards of the Orillia Soldiers' Memorial Hospital Foundation, the Green Haven Shelter for Women and Children, and local minor hockey associations.
