About Whitney

Whitney Mahar grew up in Kamloops and completed her Bachelor of Arts at Thompson Rivers University in 2015 before attending the Peter A. Allard School of Law at the University of British Columbia, including a semester abroad at the University of Edinburgh. During law school she volunteered with the Law Students' Legal Advice Program and spent a semester with the Rise Women's Legal Centre providing family law services to low-income women in Vancouver. She joined Cates Ford Soll & Epp as an articled student in 2019. Her practice covers real estate and land law, wills and estates, powers of attorney, health care agreements, business law, and residential tenancy. She is active with the Rotary Club of Kamloops West and co-chairs the Kamloops Canadian Bar Association Women Lawyers Forum.
