Construction LawW. Harry Thurlow, KC is a partner in Cox & Palmer's Halifax office, where his litigation practice focuses on commercial, insurance, construction and maritime matters. He has acted for chartered banks and private lenders in recovery actions, insolvencies and fraud cases, and regularly handles commercial disputes involving breach of contract, fiduciary duties, shareholder disputes, procurement and construction. Harry also practises health law and medical defence, including as counsel to the Canadian Medical Protective Association and its member physicians. He earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of King's College in 1995 and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of New Brunswick in 2001, and received his King's Counsel designation in 2026. He is a past chair of the Civil Litigation and ADR Section of the Canadian Bar Association's Nova Scotia Branch and a member of the Risk Management Association's Atlantic Chapter and the Canadian Maritime Law Association's Marine Insurance Committee.
