Victoria Wicks

About Victoria

Victoria Wicks is an associate at OKT whose work centers on protecting section 35 rights and advancing Indigenous jurisdiction. She represents Indigenous clients from across the country in court, before regulatory bodies, and in negotiations with government and corporate parties. Her files have touched on Aboriginal and treaty rights claims, including title claims, Indigenous governance, environmental assessment, and the protection of ancestral remains during archaeological work. She has appeared before courts at every level in Ontario, New Brunswick and Manitoba. Before joining OKT she clerked for judges at the Court of Appeal for Ontario and worked at a litigation boutique. She earned her law degree at the University of British Columbia with a focus on Aboriginal law and holds an honours BA in political science from the University of Toronto.
