About Veena

Veena Gupta is an immigration lawyer at Nanda Lawyers, where she has worked since 2018, bringing two decades of focused experience in Canadian immigration law. She was called to the bar in India and is also licensed in Manitoba and Ontario. Her litigation experience before the Federal Courts and the Immigration and Refugee Board includes danger opinions, judicial review applications, stays of removal, mandamus applications, IAD appeals, and refugee claims. She also helps clients with permanent residence applications, family sponsorships, humanitarian and compassionate applications, and visitor visas, and assists corporate clients with LMIA applications including intra-company transfers. Veena holds an LLM from the University of Toronto Faculty of Law and an LLB from Dr. Ambedkar Government Law College in India, and is a trained mediator with ADR certificates from the University of Windsor. She speaks English, Hindi, Punjabi, Kannada, Tamil, and Telugu.
