About Vandana

Vandana has focused her legal career on achieving gender equality and has worked at Rise since it opened in spring 2016. Before joining Rise, she was a sole practitioner in family law, child protection, and immigration and refugee law, with a focus on family violence, and also worked at an Aboriginal law firm, articled in criminal law, and worked as a Mental Health Advocate for the Community Legal Assistance Society during law school. Vandana has a J.D. from the University of British Columbia and an M.Sc. from the University of Calgary.
