About Tyler

Tyler Lypkie is a lifelong Edmontonian who attended the University of Alberta, earning a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering in 2006, before completing an LL.B. with distinction at the University of Saskatchewan's College of Law in 2009. His practice focuses on employment law and corporate and business law, and he has advised clients in a wide range of employment law matters, including six-figure judgments against some of Alberta's largest employers. His corporate law work includes advising private investors, insurance agencies, medical professionals and engineering firms, and he has extensive experience buying and selling private businesses and in commercial real estate transactions. Since 2018 he has advised clients on the sale of more than 1,000 acres of development land in the greater South Edmonton region. He also has experience in residential real estate, wills and estate matters, and guardianship and trusteeship applications, and represents clients in employment litigation before the Alberta Court of Justice and the Alberta Court of King's Bench. He has been active with the Canadian Bar Association, previously chairing its Real Property Law Section for Northern Alberta.
