About Trina

Trina Fraser has a broad business law background but is best known as head of the firm's CannaLaw group and a leading practitioner in cannabis law in Canada. The Chambers Canada guide has ranked her a Band 1 lawyer in Cannabis Law since 2019, and she has been listed in The Best Lawyers in Canada for Cannabis Law each year since 2020. She was named Cannabis Lawyer of the Year at the 2024 GrowUp Industry Awards Gala, Attorney of the Year at the 2019 O'Cannabiz Industry Awards Gala, and one of Canadian Lawyer Magazine's Top 25 Most Influential Lawyers in 2019. She represents licensed cannabis cultivators, processors, medical sellers, nurseries, analytical testers, researchers and retailers, advising on licensing, security clearance, promotion and compliance issues, and on change-of-control and B2B commercial matters. Trina is a registered trademark agent. She earned her Bachelor of Commerce and Juris Doctor at Queen's University, and serves on the board of the Snowsuit Fund as Secretary and Past Chairperson.
