About Tom

Tom Stevenson is a partner at Torys and co-head of the firm's Pension and Employment group. He advises major Canadian and international employers across pension, benefits and employment law, including matters arising in corporate and commercial transactions. Tom also advises clients on how pension, employment, labour and human rights laws apply in the workplace, and helps draft and implement related pension and employment documentation and practices. He previously served as chair of the Pensions and Benefits Section Executive at the Ontario Bar Association and received Lexpert's award for Leading Lawyers Under 40. Tom has served as a guest lecturer on pension law at the University of Toronto and has taught a seminar on advanced business law at the University of Windsor. He currently holds the Member-at-Large role on the Canadian Bar Association's Pension and Benefits Section Executive, and is also part of its Labour and Employment and Administrative Law sections.
