About Timothy

Timothy (Tim) Kurbis is a Managing Partner and leader within the firm's Business Law practice group, focusing on mergers and acquisitions, secured finance, and owner-managed business. He was called to the Manitoba Bar in 1991 after earning his LL.B. from the University of Manitoba's Robson Hall. Tim has served as a Bencher of the Law Society of Manitoba, sits on the Manitoba Pension Commission, and has chaired the Fort Whyte Foundation's Board of Trustees. He has been selected for The Best Lawyers™ in Canada in Corporate Law every year since 2009 and was named its 2023 'Lawyer of the Year' in that field.
