About Timothy

Timothy Watkins has practised law in Maple Ridge for more than thirty years, working across commercial and corporate disputes, construction litigation, and family law. His practice has shifted in recent years toward estate and family litigation, including disputes over the ownership of shared residences and other assets, as well as preparing co-ownership, trust, and cohabitation agreements to help clients avoid such disputes. He continues to handle commercial dispute resolution for business clients and works comfortably in mediation and negotiation as well as in court. He earned a BA (Honours) in History from the University of Victoria in 1982 and his LL.B. in 1985, articling with Shrum, Liddle & Hebenton before being called to the British Columbia Bar in 1986. He later joined the Maple Ridge firm that became McEachern Harris & Watkins in 2012.
