About Adele

Adele Letwin has practised family law and general litigation for close to twenty years, appearing in both the Supreme Court and Provincial Court on trials and chambers applications. Her family law work includes child and spousal support cases, cross-border support applications, and complex parenting disputes involving child maltreatment, emotional abuse, and parental alienation, and she has acted as Director's counsel in child protection matters. She also practises collaborative family law and family mediation, having completed collaborative training in the Kootenays in 2000 and mediator training in 2012, and provides employment law advice to employers and employees on severance and termination issues. She received a BA in International Relations from the University of British Columbia in 1996 and her law degree from the University of Saskatchewan in 1999, and was called to the British Columbia Bar in 2000 after articling in Trail, BC. She joined the firm in 2005 and now supervises the Maple Ridge Family Law Advocate Program, and belongs to the Law Society of BC, the Canadian Bar Association, and the Lower Mainland Collaborative Association.
