Terry Braun is a senior legal counsel whose practice spans several areas of law, among them corporate, litigation, entertainment, regulatory, and real estate work. He has served as General Counsel for a prominent Indigenous government in Canada, where he provided guidance to its Chief and Council as well as various Tribal Councils, Boards, Committees, and Commissions on matters of governance, risk, and litigation strategy. During his time in-house, he became known as a leading advocate for inherent and Treaty rights, and he built recognized expertise in areas such as the Indian Act and Indigenous law, along with the broader regulatory and policy framework affecting First Nations. His advisory work also extends to real estate development, hospitality and casino operations, and Alberta's regulatory framework governing alcohol and gaming, as well as business structures and economic development matters.
