About Suzanne

Suzanne is the Managing Partner of Cox & Palmer's Halifax office and practices citizenship and immigration law. She was called to the Nova Scotia Bar in 1998 and received her Queen's Counsel (now King's Counsel) designation in 2021. Her work includes intra-company transferee, CUSMA and Labour Market Impact Assessment-based work permit applications, study permit and temporary resident visa applications, and permanent residence applications under programs such as the Atlantic Immigration Program, Express Entry and the Nova Scotia Nominee Program. She also assists with citizenship applications and permanent resident card renewals, and provides these services in both English and German. Rix is the Honorary Consul of the Federal Republic of Germany for the Maritime Provinces and is a past chair of the Canadian Bar Association's immigration law sections.
