About Summer
Summer Simon started at Bruder Springstead as an articling student in 2022 and became an associate there after being called to the bar in June 2023. In 2025 she briefly served as in-house counsel for a major North American residential and commercial services provider, before rejoining the firm as an associate in January 2026. Her civil litigation practice covers insurance defence work such as motor vehicle tort and accident benefits claims, occupiers' liability, product liability, property damage, coverage issues, subrogated claims and professional negligence. She holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Windsor and a second J.D., earned magna cum laude, from the University of Detroit Mercy through the Dual JD program, graduating in the top 10 percent of her class and earning induction into the Frank Murphy Honour Society.
