About Krista
Krista Springstead is a founding and managing partner of Bruder Springstead LLP, having previously served as managing partner of a well-known Toronto litigation boutique. Her civil litigation practice covers serious personal injury claims, with a particular emphasis on professional negligence, and she has appeared as trial and appellate counsel at every level of court in Ontario as well as the Supreme Court of Canada. She has also conducted applications, arbitrations, and appeals before administrative tribunals. Krista speaks regularly at seminars hosted by groups such as the Ontario Bar Association, the Advocates Society, and Canadian Defence Lawyers, and has a particular interest in supporting women and young lawyers in the profession. In 2024, the Canadian Defence Lawyers Association gave her the Philippa G. Samworth Award for Advancement of Women in the Legal Profession. She was called to the Ontario bar in 1995 and holds a B.A. in psychology and an LL.B. from the University of Western Ontario.
