About Monica

Monica Dhanani is a partner at Bruder Springstead LLP and a civil litigator with extensive experience in tort matters, including motor vehicle accidents, occupiers' liability, professional negligence, subrogated claims, property loss, product liability and civil sexual assault cases. She also defends insurance coverage claims and provides coverage opinions. After her call to the bar, Monica began her career at a boutique personal injury firm in Toronto representing plaintiffs, then spent almost two decades as a partner at a well-known insurance defence firm before joining Bruder Springstead in February 2024. She has appeared as trial and appellate counsel before all levels of court, including the Superior Court of Justice and the Court of Appeal of Ontario, and speaks regularly at continuing legal education seminars. Monica was called to the Ontario bar in 2004 and holds an LL.B. from the University of Western Ontario and a B.A. Honours from the University of Toronto.
